Photo Contest

Hi everyone! 

Miguel Mendoza here, I just wanted to jump on and share some details on my upcoming “Top or Bottom” picture contest. Where you guys get to vote on the pictures that I take at the @qruisinpch quarantine cruises. As well as why I decided to give away some framed prints! I really enjoy all the awesome rides that show up to the cruise and I like sharing those picture via Instagram and love all the wonderful feedback and comments I get from you guys. But there is something different about having an actual picture framed up and on your wall. I also really enjoyed the joy and excitement that I see when I’ve delivered a framed picture of someone’s ride to them in person. Plus I wanted to get to know more of you in person vs just interacting on Instagram liking and commenting on each other’s pictures. Photography is not my main source of income but I really appreciate everyone that has spent their hard earn money on a picture that I’ve taken of their ride. It definitely helps me keep my website up and running and helps put some gas in the tank to get to the events. And for that I really do appreciate you guys and wanted to give back and what better way than have some fun interaction on the gram right! as well giving away a framed picture that I’ve taken! So with that check out the rules!

But first! Huge thank you to @k5nationsocal and @pcbroncos_fords ! When I was thinking of doing this I thought what better way to kick this off and play on the friendly rivalry that you guys have going! Also another big thank your to Ron @74k5_oleyella and Luis @thepainttech for also unknowingly letting me put both your awesome rides up against each other!

And for being the very first two rides that kicked this whole thing off, @74k5_oleyella won the contest but I’m going to hook both you guys up with framed pictures of the pictures that I used for the contest! Also want to thank all the people that make the quarantine cruise possible. I haven’t been here since the beginning but after my first quarantine cruise 19! I’ve been hooked! So thank you guys and gals that put this wonderful event on for all of us to enjoy! 

Ok now that that’s out of the way! Here’s how I envisioned the contest ! 

The two finalist from the previous month will each choose 11 photos from my gallery, their number 1 pick being their most favorite picture. 

Runner up from previous month will automatically go to the semi finals for the next month. There will be 3 rounds a semi final round and the final round. 

Winner will receive winning picture as an 11x17 inch print custom mounted in a 16x20 inch frame that will be presented to them at the next quarantine cruise. If they are not able to make it to the cruise. I will arrange with the winner best option to get their print to them. 

Runner up advances to semi finals for the next month. 

Polling will start as soon as I’ve uploaded pictures to gallery and have received picks from previous finalist. If a finalist is not available to pick for the next month, I will pick a substitute to choose the next pictures. Which I will post on my page 1 day before polling starts. Winner will be announced when final polling story concludes. I will also need everyone’s help by voting! As well as helping identifying who’s rides these are, there is a strong possibility that we might not be following each other and they might be unaware that they could possibly be receiving a framed picture of their ride! 

Again thank you to everyone for supporting me and my craft! I truly appreciate it. Hopefully I can keep making it to the cruises and keep this going for as long as I’m able too!

Rules: 

Round 1 : will consist of the combined 22 pictures picked by previous finalist the winner from last months picks will compete against runner ups picks. Winners picks on top and runner ups picks on the bottom (the finalist most favorite picture winner automatically advances to round 3)

Round 2 : will be the 10 remaining pictures. “Top” Vs “bottom” will be based on the order they were picked by the finalist. 

Round 3 : will be the remaining 6 pictures (includes first round most favorite picture winner) “Top” Vs “bottom” will be based on the order they were picked by the finalist. 

Semi finals: remaining 4 pictures (includes runner up from previous month). “Top” Vs “bottom” will be based on the order they were picked by the finalist. The runner up will be the first “Top”.

Finals : remaining 2 pictures. “Top” Vs “bottom” will be based on the order they were picked by the finalist. 

Ties : any ties will be broken before continuing to next round by redoing the match up again on my stories.

Winner = will receive winning picture as an 11x17 inch print custom mounted in a 16x20 inch frame that will be presented to them at the next quarantine cruise. If they are not able to make it to the cruise. I will arrange with the winner best option to get their print to them. Once you win your car is no longer eligible for upcoming contest.
